Since its premiere, More Than a Meal has brought audiences together to learn, share experiences, ask questions, and support organizations working to address food insecurity in their communities.

Historic Lafayette Theater | Suffern, New York
June 14, 2026
More Than a Meal premiered at the historic Lafayette Theater with a community screening followed by a panel discussion and Q&A featuring local voices working on the front lines of food insecurity, food rescue, nutrition, and community support.
The premiere raised awareness and funds for organizations featured in the documentary and sparked conversations about what it means not only to have enough food, but to have access to nutritious food.
Finkelstein Memorial Library | Spring Valley, New York
August 13, 2026
The journey continued with a free community screening at Finkelstein Memorial Library, bringing the documentary to another Rockland County audience and continuing the conversation around food insecurity, nutrition, and access to healthy food.

The story doesn't end when the credits roll.
Following our first community screenings, More Than a Meal is beginning to reach new audiences, with interest in future screenings both within our local community and beyond New York.
We are excited to continue bringing the documentary to schools, libraries, nonprofits, community organizations, faith communities, and other spaces where the film can help start meaningful conversations.
Our hope is that each screening can do more than simply show a film. We want More Than a Meal to raise awareness, bring people together around an important issue, inspire action, and help raise funds for organizations serving the communities where the film is shown.
New screening opportunities are currently being explored, and we look forward to sharing upcoming dates and locations as they are confirmed.

More Than a Meal explores the hidden crisis of food insecurity in America. Beyond the idea of "food deserts," the film reveals how affordability, access, and dignity shape what ends up on our tables - and how communities are building powerful solutions.

"I began this journey with a simple question: why do so many families in one of the wealthiest countries in the world still struggle to eat well? Through interviews with farmers, food pantries, food banks, and families, I discovered that food insecurity is about more than being fed - it's about being nourished. Why This Film, Why Now
Food Insecurity isn't just about hunger, it's about health, dignity, and the future we share. Too often, it hides in plain sight, reduced to statistics instead of stories. More Than a Meal was created to change that: to redefine how we see food access and to highlight the people and communities building real solutions.
At a moment when processed food is everywhere and nourishing food feels out of reach for too many, we can no longer confuse being fed with being well. This film invites us to look closer, listen deeper, and act together - because our health and our future depend on it.
